On a 42 day road trip across the U.S. in the summer of 2021, a concept emerged. Inspired by the Athens music scene, we decided to create a business combining artist management, media services, band booking, and event production.
Clear Mountain Entertainment, founded by the Chiaramonte brothers, is a multi-faceted company offering artist management, band booking, event production, photography and videography services for individuals and organizations. The company name comes from, “Chiaramonte,” which means, “Clear Mountain,” in its Italian-English translation and it is a tribute to our great-grandfather who immigrated from Sicily to Ellis Island in the early 1900s.

In August 2021, we formed our LLC, Clear Mountain Entertainment, and the response from the local music community has been nothing short of incredible. The heartbeat of Clear Mountain is in Athens, GA, where we are upperclassmen at UGA. Originally from Alexandria, VA, we also serve the greater Washington, DC., Maryland and Virginia areas.
Meet Xander
The man with the camera — Hey! I’m Xander, co-founder and chief creative officer of CME. I specialize in photography, videography, and creative consulting. From my beginnings as xanderchiaramonte.com to running social media channels (@filmfluent and @clearmountain.ent) and working with local businesses, artists, organizations, and individuals, I have built up an extensive portfolio of experience in media and content production. At the University of Georgia, in Athens, GA, I’m currently studying Entertainment & Media Studies, Film Studies, and Entrepreneurship.
Meet Garrett
The man with the bands — I’m Garrett, life-long music lover and co-founder/Chief Executive Officer of CME. At UGA, I’m studying music business, entrepreneurship, and business management. My formal education, combined with industry experience in music management, booking, and promotion, has allowed me to effectively cultivate and advance the careers of artists both in and outside of Athens. My passion for the music industry bleeds into my work, keeping me highly dedicated to each of my clients. I’m a firm believer that through hard work and persistence anything can be achieved, and I encourage all of my clients to adopt the same mindset.

ANDREW WRIGHT
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Andrew is a recent UGA graduate from Atlanta, GA. He has been working with CME since January 2023, when he started as a booking agent. In his free time, you can catch Andrew playing bass, guitar, or vocals with any of several local bands including The Peak, Patio, Florence Cardigan, and Josh Bennett Band. After graduating in 2023 with a Bachelors in Marketing and a certificate in Music Business, Andrew strives to find a balance between his passion for music and his degree and is excited to see where the future takes him.

MIKAYLA CONNOLLY
CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
Mikayla is a fourth-year at the University of Georgia studying English and Music Business. She has been working with CME since January 2023, and loved getting to promote local artists through her initial role as publicist. Originally from Northern Virginia, she has loved the experiences Athens has afforded her, and appreciates the freedom and creativity that comes with working for a student-run startup. When she’s not doing work for CME, Mikayla stays busy reading, writing music, and working as a production runner for Georgia Theatre. She is hopeful that she will continue to work in the music industry after graduating in May of 2024.

DANIEL CROWE
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Daniel is a current fourth-year at the University of Georgia studying Finance, Music Business, and Legal Studies. He started his time at CME in January 2023 as a booking agent, and enjoys cultivating a productive environment between artists and workers in the music industry through his roles in booking and financial management. Music became a passion of Daniel’s at an early age that developed through his love for playing guitar and writing lyrics to manifest creative inspirations. Outside of CME and UGA, Daniel stays busy writing music, performing, and recording with his band, hallpass. Upon graduation in May 2024, Daniel aspires to pursue a career path in intellectual property and copyright law to advocate for the works that have been significant throughout his lifetime.

TIMI MEADE
MEDIA MANAGER/BACKEND BOOKING AGENT
Timi is a current third-year at the University of Georgia pursuing a degree in Entertainment and Media Studies with a certificate in Music Business. Outside of CME, Timi is the President of the Entertainment and Media Industries Club at UGA and director of a TV series called “Sincerely, Two Strangers,” a show where she sits down with two strangers who open up to each other and find out how much they have in common, highlighting how similar the human race is despite external forces polarizing us every day. She is excited to expand her storytelling to CME and showcase the humanity of artists outside of the studio!

Emma is a third-year at the University of Georgia studying Digital Marketing, Music Business, and Sports Management. Originally from Milton, GA, her love for all things creative and music began when she was in high school, which set the foundation for her passion for photography and film. Emma currently works across a wide range of content from music to non-profit work, with the goal of providing a spotlight to musicians' work through media and content production. She started at CME in August 2023 and is excited to continue pursuing her goals with the company.

Jason is a third-year at the University of Georgia, where he is pursuing a major in Marketing and studying Music Business. Originally from North Carolina, Jason moved to Athens his junior year of high school. He started working with CME in August 2023, and is excited to make an imprint on Athens’s rising music scene by taking on A&R, booking, and event production. In his free time, Jason is a recording artist (JayWu) and has several singles released on all streaming platforms. Jason also enjoys sports, working out, and discovering new music!

BEN MADDUX

Ben is a fourth-year Political Science major at the University of Georgia, and has been with Clear Mountain since August 2023. He is looking forward to making meaningful connections with the music talent in Athens, GA by booking shows for established and up-and-coming artists. In his spare time, Ben is the bassist for Red Mile Road and has gained plenty of prior music industry experience from his past three years performing, writing, recording, and releasing music with the band.
